Abby is at the Doddridge Animal Clinic today to have her entropion surgery. She has had constant eye infections, due to this condition where her eyelashes rub on her eyes. She will also go into boarding after her surgery to make sure she has a speedy and complication free recovery.

The estimate for the surgery on both eyes is $736 + the cost of boarding. Our funds have dipped even lower ever since we rescue her and her puppies, so PLEASE consider making a donation to help us cover these costs. Any amount helps! 

Abby has come a long way from the neglect she endured being out on the streets and she deserves the best we can give her. And once she is healed she will be ready for a new foster or forever home!

We had a consultation with Dr. Greller at STVS in San Antonio to get a diagnosis on Samson's vision problems. While Samson did great during his exams, we were not expecting the news we got... Samson has been diagnosed with late onset Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA), the degeneration of retinal tissue. PRA is not preventable or treatable and Dr. Greller believes that within months Samson will be completely blind.

This big, sweet, happy, handsome boy will be just fine and just need need a little help to adjust to his vision loss. If you are interested in donating to his care or would like to adopt him, please contact us. Thank you!

March 28th & March 29th

Join us at La Palmera Mall for Pet Night with the Easter Bunny. We will be bringing a few of our wonderful dogs and cats that are available for adoption to meet potenital adopters! So bring your pets for photos and visit with us after.

Our 3rd Annual "Struttin' for Strays" event on Thursday was a huge success! We had a great turnout and a very successful silent auction. We greatly appreciate all of you who came out to support us and we hope you all enjoyed the event!

We are desperately seeking help from the public in finding a secure storage area (unit, container, trailer or building OR space in an office, building, garage or warehouse) to store donated items and supplies for our annual fundraisers and events. The storage area would preferably be at least 10 x 20. To offer any type of storage options, solutions or to sponsor a storage space, please contact us! Bring your favorite dog or cat for photos with the Easter Bunny Tuesday, March 20th through Friday, March 23rd, from 5pm to 8pm at La Palmera - Center Court. Dogs and cats only please. All pets must remain on a leash or in a carrier at all times. Proceeds benefiting Mission Pawsible & other local animal rescue organizations.

Now through December 16th, head over to La Palmera Mall's "Forest of Giving" and VOTE for our Christmast Tree - #9.  The christmas trees, which were decorated by local charities, are located in West Court near the Concierge Desk.  The christmas tree with the most votes will win a $1000 check from La Palmera.  Help us win for our rescue and vote!

We are excited to be a part of La Palmera'a annual event. 

Our wonderful volunteers have decorated this tree as part of La Palmera's "Forest of Giving" charity tree competition. The public is invited to vote for their favorite tree by scanning the QR code on the tree or by filling out a ballot. The charity tree receiving the most votes will receive a check for $2,500!!!
